Back to the future, stop the usual pap. There are not many djs treating themself standing out from the crowd by being innovative and having the courage to try something new. Today most of the so-called “super star djs”hyped by musicmags, radiostations and present at every big event are not able to differentiate between a vinyl and a pizza. Where does these guys come from? Nobody knows. Only with clever marketing they are sold out as the new heroes in the musicscene. Their sets are a bit of a yawn and banal like watching “dirty dancing” or “pretty woman” in monochrome. The consequence is that the crowd is gutted and the artist vanished into thin air as fast as he appeared. On the other hand there are djs playing at clubs since a long time before they decided to work in a studio. They build their whole career on their experience how to interact with the crowd. The giftedness to be inspirational with music and their skills on the decks is the edge over the rest. The DJ-Duo “The Therapists” named Lukas Stern and Pascal Neron are a prime example for such a phenomenon. During the last few years they worked very hard to make a name of themselves in the electronic music scene. The incomparable blend of electronic music already separates them from the rest of the field but with the addition that everybody clearly can hear and see their passion for music and djing. Not many other djs live their set like the “Therapists” do. Everytime they play in a club they try to make new experiences in sound and to broaden minds and of course to have a great night out. They describe their style with “intelligent electronic music with fun factor cubed”. You can´t pigeonhole them musically, whether techno, house, electro or breakbeat, allowed is everything. Now lets talk about the “Therapists” as Producers, during the last year the guys spent a lot of time in the studio working on their own music. Tracks like “lunch with pacman” or “schnee von gestern” were clubhits and supported by many leading dj acts. We fancy them, do you also?
